Sales and Conference Coordinator (Corporate Events), Bristol Music Trust, Colston Hall

Marketing Internship - Bristol Music Trust



Part-Time 30 Hours, 
Pay: £13,891, pro-rata, £11,263 per annum
Fixed-Term for 6 months

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and creative Marketing Intern to join the busy Marketing Team for 6 months at Colston Hall, the South West’s largest concert hall and Bristol’s major music venue.
The role would suit a marketing / media student or recent graduate who is looking to gain experience in the music, events and arts marketing industry, you will have good writing skills, a basic understanding of social media and ideally a passion for music.  The successful candidate will bring a professional, adaptable and proactive attitude and in return will gain essential training in music and event marketing.
Experience of Adobe Suite (such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and/or Premier), Wordpress and/ or an interest in photography are an advantage, but not essential.  Dependant on your skills your responsibilities might also include creating and uploading interesting digital media content, creating e-flyers or shooting short promo videos.
You will join us at an exciting time for Colston Hall - with ambitious artistic, audience development and education aspirations and at a key time in our major capital campaign, you will play a part in cementing the Hall’s position at the heart of Bristol’s musical life.  This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to develop in the role and gain experience whilst working for a vibrant arts organisation.

Box Office Supervisor - Bristol Music Trust



Salary £17,000 per annum

Bristol Music Trust are recruiting for a Box Office Supervisor to join our busy Customer Service team at Colston Hall, the South-West’s largest concert hall and Bristol’s major music venue. You will be required to act as box office duty manager and provide supervision to the box office assistants, taking responsibility for the operational management of the box office services, providing high standards of customer care at all times.
The successful candidate will have excellent administration skills, including excel experience, you will be proactive, enthusiastic, and well-organised, ideally with previous experience of working in a box office and an intuitive understanding of what makes for great customer service. Operations Assistant - Bristol Music Trust


£7.86 per hour – Zero Hours Contract, Approx. 15 hours per week

We are recruiting for an Operations Assistant to join the Operations team at Colston Hall (the South West’s largest concert hall and Bristol’s major music venue).  You will play a key role in preparing and maintaining the hall and other spaces around the building, ensuring spaces are clean, safe and well maintained, undertaking minor repair and maintenance works, lifting safely and ensuring excellent standards of customer care. 
You will help to ensure that our events run efficiently and smoothly for all our clients and customers, maintaining the highest levels of health & safety at all times.
Our ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive and self motivated, with previous experience of repairs and maintenance, preparing spaces (for example at events or festivals) and an understanding of how to deliver outstanding customer service.  Previous experience of working in a similar, large scale multi purpose venue and training in manual handling would be desirable, but is not essential. This position is offered on a zero hours contract basis to provide additional support to the Operations Team as and when required, 15 hours is approximate, more hours may be offered during our busy periods.

Previous bar experience and waiting/serving of food and drinks at events such as private receptions and conferences is ideal, but not essential, however, you will need the confidence to provide a high standard of service and have a desire to learn.   We are particularly looking for applicants who have daytime as well as evening availability to support our full range of shows and events.

Bristol Plays Music (BPM) are looking for inspiring and experienced Music Practitioners to support our busy education team in delivering high quality music tuition and music making opportunities to young people across Bristol.  Bristol Plays Music is the Arts Council England’s Music Education Hub for the city of Bristol and part of the Bristol Music Trust based at Colston Hall.
We are currently recruiting educators with experience in delivering small group and/or whole class instrumental and vocal music tuition.  We are looking for music providers specialising in violin, ukulele, brass, saxophone and recorder, with a particular emphasis on delivering to whole class groups.
