Visitor Experience Assistant - Arnolfini



Pay: £16,120 pro rata per annum

We are seeking a Visitor Experience Assistant to join our team and help provide outstanding customer service to all Arnolfini visitors. The Visitor Experience Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth transaction of ticket sales and bookings for a busy box office, and for enhancing visitor experience by providing an informed and courteous point of contact for all visitors and staff.

The starting salary is offered at £16,120 pro rata per annum. Hours of work will be 28 per week, variable shifts over 7 days to include early mornings, evenings and weekends.

The Role

A vital part of the delivery team for the October 2016 Wildscreen Festival, the Festival Assistant position is a varied role incorporating elements of programming, marketing and administration.
Wildscreen is a small organisation with big outputs therefore each individual has a big role to play in their delivery. The successful candidate will have had several years of office-based employment - with some element of production or event management experience - along with a knack for organising data, handling large amounts of correspondence and an enthusiastic approach to managing a very busy workload and tight deadlines.

Arts2Life UK Ltd is seeking applications from a wide range of backgrounds for the role of Assistant to the Managing Director. 

This role is being advertised due to the current post holder moving to London. There will be a good hand-over period associated with this role. 

About Us: 
Arts2Life are a Bristol-based arts agency with the aim of raising the profile of the hidden arts and the people behind them. We recently organised a busking event at a local bar, which involved performances from 8 street artists (all with links to Bristol) to raise money for homeless charity Shelter. All staff are volunteers and are involved because of a passion for the arts. Although this a volunteer role and many of us work around our full/part-time jobs, we do require a level of commitment from all staff in order to make sure that progress is made.

The Role: 
As Assistant to the Managing Director, you will undertake a variety of different tasks. As a representative of Arts2Life UK, you will deal with a range of people including Staff, Local businesses, clients, potential candidates, members of the public and more. This role involves the handling of sensitive documentation and therefore a good level of discretion is paramount.

Job Title: Photography Assistant

Nisbets is currently looking for a Photography Assistant to join our E-Commerce department based in Avonmouth, Bristol. In this role you will assist the Image & Media Specialist in the production of professional, creative, clear and persuasive product images and video for all Nisbets media. This will include our websites and also printed media such as catalogues and leaflets.
Nisbets is the UK’s largest supplier of catering equipment to businesses and the serious home chef. Operating for over 30 years, Nisbets has grown exponentially in the UK and continues to expand throughout the world. We have offices in France, Spain, Ireland, Holland and Australia and export worldwide to over 100 countries.
As Photography Assistant your main responsibilities will be:
  • Photographing products throughout the whole Nisbets range from small products (spares and accessories) to large machines (e.g. fridges and industrial ovens)
  • Assisting in the production of product demonstration videos, in house and on location
  • Assisting in the production of 360° imagery
  • Maintaining and developing photographic and digital media archives
To apply for this role your experience and skills should include:
  • Educated to degree level in a related discipline (i.e. photography) or equivalent experience
  • Photography, visual imaging and image asset management skills
  • Working knowledge of working with digital imagery for print and the web
  • Strong Photoshop skills
  • Knowledge of Premiere Pro and STEP CMS would be advantageous but not essential

Antlers are looking for volunteers to be part of their upcoming exhibition You Move Me featuring a site-specific installation by Jo Lathwood and other commissioned artists. This opportunity offers the chance to gain experience in the following areas: install, invigilation, public relations and events.
Role Breakdowns:
Technical Assistants will have a hands-on role helping with exhibition build and take down.
Exhibition Assistants will be helping when the exhibition is open. It is important you feel confident interacting with the public and talking about artworks in an exhibition context.
