We are recruiting a Production Manager, a Senior Head of Department, who will lead the production team to deliver the highest standards possible. Working closely with the Production Director you will be involved in every aspect of show delivery.
The successful candidate will have significant senior level experience in theatre production with excellent financial and budgetary control, and the ability to nurture and develop the skills of individuals under their supervision.

Assistant Producer - Bristol FERMENT


Pay: 18k per annum

Bristol Ferment is Bristol Old Vic’s artist development strand and is an ongoing programme of support, resource and collaboration where theatre-makers form and nourish new ideas through an open dialogue with audiences and peers in all stages of development.
We are recruiting for an Assistant Producer to work closely with Bristol Ferment Producer to support the delivery of a portfolio of projects ranging from Research and Development and in-house workshops, to Ferment fortnights, previews and performances across the Bristol Ferment programme.  You will have some previous professional  producing experience in a theatre setting, good administrative skills and a passion for contemporary theatre making and development.

Outreach Assistant - Bristol Old Vic

Bristol Old Vic is recruiting an Outreach Assistant. The Outreach Assistant will act as the first point of contact for the Outreach Department and support the Young Company Producer with the smooth running of all administrative aspects of the Young Company.
You will be a competent administrator, computer literate, with good written and verbal communication skills. You will be a team player, capable of using your own initiative and able to cope under pressure.

Front of House Manager - Bristol Old Vic


Pay: 20-25k

We are recruiting for a Front of House Manager to take a lead role in the day to day running of Front of House operations of the Theatre under the leadership of the Operations Manager. Including: shows and theatrical events in any of our theatre spaces; conferences, corporate events and licensed weddings and receptions; bar, catering and merchandising functions.
You will have previous proven experience of managing a large team in an arts venue and be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.  Wedding, conference planning and business development experience would be an advantage.

Press Assistant - Bristol Old Vic


Reporting to the Press Manager, this post is responsible for helping to ensure that Bristol Old Vic maximises its media coverage and therefore ensures that a wide range of audiences attend shows across all performance spaces.
The Press Assistant will work on key PR and communications activities as advised by the Press Manager with a particular focus on supporting a range of campaigns, as well as liaising with the marketing team to generate digital content for e-marketing and social media channels.
The role includes, but is not limited to the following areas of responsibility:
  • PR Campaign development and implementation
  • Online/e-marketing support and utilising social media channels
  • Press Evaluation - update Bristol Old Vic press cuttings and evaluate coverage
  • Press Liaison on press nights
  • Research of competitor activity
