Watershed is looking for an ambitious Producer to join their Creative Team for one year, to manage the Pervasive Media Studio, and support and extend the diversity of its community.

The Pervasive Media Studio hosts a brilliantly mixed community of artists, creative companies, technologists and academics exploring experience design and creative technology. It is a collaboration with UWE Bristol and University of Bristol. We have a great workspace, an open ethos and a can-do attitude.

Watershed believes in the positive benefits of diversity and feels the best way to create and develop ideas is to draw from the widest possible pool of collaborators. This is demonstrated through our cultural cinema programme and initiatives like Deaf Conversations about Cinema,Come The Revolution and Rife Magazine.  This approach ensures the Pervasive Media Studio community reaches across art forms, sectors and business models, and includes a range of gender, age and ability. However the Studio community does not yet reflect the vibrant ethnic mix of Bristol or the UK’s creative sector.

This maternity cover post allows us to reach out for some fresh thinking around how we create more inclusive talent development programmes and bring more people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds into the Studio, which we know will benefit all of our community. It offers you the opportunity to join a vibrant, open and generous organisation and deliver something new.

You will be a curator of people, understanding how to form collaborations and mobilise networks. You will be brave in your ideas and considered in your approach. You may come from working in the commercial or the cultural sector but will understand the value of combining both.

Situations is an arts producer dedicated to opening up the potential for artists to make extraordinary ideas happen in unusual and unexpected places, inspiring audiences and participants to explore new horizons. 

We commission and produce both temporary and long-term public artworks such as the current, acclaimed project Sanctum in Bristol led by artist Theaster Gates, the 100-year-long Future Library in Oslo by artist Katie Paterson; Michael Sailstorfer’s Folkestone Digs which sparked a gold rush on the South East coast last year and Alex Hartley’s Nowhereisland for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad in 2012. 

Communications Manager
We are looking for a gifted communicator who is passionate about creating and delivering strategic campaigns for our projects and increasing and extending the profile of the organisation nationally and internationally. You will be an advocate, an early adopter, and be able to demonstrate a flair for creative ideas. You will have in-depth knowledge about the range and diversity of the most up-to-date communications tactics in the arts and an understanding of current trends and debates in arts marketing, as well as a genuine interest in reaching out beyond existing arts audiences.

Extraordinary Bodies, the UK’s first integrated circus company showcasing disabled and non-disabled performers, has secured funding to tour the uplifting showWeightingacross the UK in 2015.

The cast includes 9 extraordinary performers who take to the air in a joyful exploration of equilibrium and balance, of departures, journeys and of risk-taking and transformation.  Weighting’s breath-taking soundtrack is created by Dom Coyote (Kneehigh, BAC) and Ted Barnes (Beth Orton), and performed live by the band, the cast, and a local massed choir. 

Extraordinary Bodies has also recently been awarded the top Clore Prize to offer an extended arts and community participation, leadership and training programme during the national tour.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Participation Producer to lead on all aspects of the community choir participation programme and support other aspects of Weighting engagement activity. Wattle & Daub Figure Theatre is a Bristol-based puppetry and visual theatre company comprised of Co-Artistic Directors Laura Purcell Gates and Tobi Poster. Our current project in development, The Depraved Appetite of Tarrare the Freak, is a chamber opera for puppets which is supported by the Wellcome Trust, Arts Council England, Tobacco Factory Theatres, Bristol Ferment at Bristol Old Vic, and Theatre Bristol, and was short-listed for the 2013 Flourish new opera competition.

We are looking for a producer to join the WDFT team to produce Tarrare and work with us closely to develop the company at this exciting stage of its journey. The role will include a wide range of responsibilities from basic administration to working with us to develop a strategy for the company. Producer/Booker needed for Interactive Art Piece

A producer is needed to book a summer 2015 tour for an interactive piece called ‘Total Eclipse of the Head - hairdressing inspired by music’.

We are looking for someone to book a minimum of fifteen dates, working on a commission basis at 10% of the fee for each date booked. We estimate this to be thirteen days work that can be spread out across a few months, and would expect this work to include writing and submitting an ACE application to subside the fees to venues.

We are looking for someone who is able to work flexibly, who is open to thinking about different contexts the piece could fit into, able to work creatively and conversationally.

BBC Performing Arts Fund Fellowship 2014 – Events Producer (Music)

Asian Arts Agency is seeking an Events Producer (Music) at the early stages of their career to join a fellowship scheme as part of the BBC Performing Arts Fund.

About the Role

The selected fellow will have a knowledge of and passion for contemporary Asian music with a strong ambition to develop their skills and career in this field. You will have some previous experience in producing events and working with contemporary Asian musicians. You should have the artistic ideas and some connections in place to plan and produce events.

As part of the fellowship you will receive mentoring and training opportunities designed to develop and further your career, as well as benefitting from Agency’s experience and expertise in producing high-quality events and projects in contemporary and traditional Asian arts. The fellow will contribute towards the delivery of Asian Arts Agency’s artistic programme in 2015 but will also have the opportunity to develop and deliver their own events with our support and guidance. The fellowship will have a national reach and objectives as well as Bristol and South West focus.
