Bristol Museum Volunteering - half term opportunities

Dear volunteers and prospective volunteers,

We are hosting two large events this half term and one smaller one at Lawrence Weston Community Farm so we are looking for as many volunteers as we can find to help us out. There’s lots of activities to get involved in working with our Archaeology and Geology departments, if you are interested in either then please let us know via museum.volunteering@bristol.gov.uk

Bristol Rocks!
Sunday 16th February
10am – 4pm
Bristol Museum & Art Gallery

We are looking for 10 volunteers to help with:

                    Geology handling tables
                    Geology gallery interpretation
                    Store tours
                    Helping facilitate talks
                    Helping with craft activities
                    Helping greet people and giving out information about the day

Medieval Mayhem!
Wednesday 19th February
10am – 4pm
M Shed

We are looking for 15 volunteers to get involved with handling objects and joining in with medieval inspired activities.

Activities taking place in M Shed include:
                    Medieval Dressing Up
                    Photo Booth
                    Handling Table
                    Shield Making
                    Jewellery Box Making
                    Brass Rubbings

Become a Roman Emperor
Tuesday 18th February
2pm – 4pm
Lawrence Weston Community Farm (lift from Bristol Museum provided)

                    Object handling
                    Dress as a Romano-Britain
                    Making a laurel wreath crown.

We will be able to provide a lift between Bristol Museum & Art Gallery and Lawrence Weston Community Farm.
