Project Manager - boomsatsuma


Pay: 25-30k
Full Time
Deadline: 18th August 2017 
A high level creative sector Projects Manager is required by boomsatsuma; a busy and growing creative company based in central Bristol. We’re located at the Engine Shed as part of Bristol’s Creative Quarter.
  • To start as soon as possible (but no later than 30 September)
  • An initial fixed term one year contract (with the possibility to renew)
  • 28 days paid holiday a year (including a Christmas shut down) plus bank holidays
  • A 40 hour week. 9am -6 pm Monday to Friday
  • Auto enrolment in the company pension scheme with 1% employer contribution.

 You will take ownership of and deliver the following portfolio of projects
  • The communications strand of Bristol WORKS – a Bristol City Council commissioned employability programme targeted at young people.
  • The management of the East Bristol Drama Studio project.
  • Project Management of our Creative Arts projects in Weston Super Mare.
  • Human Writes – a poetry project for young people across schools and libraries in the West of England.
You will be required to travel to Weston Super Mare and around S Glos and BANES and will need access to your own transport. Mileage will be paid.
Person Specification: Essential
  • Experience of delivering successful outcomes with young people in the creative or skills/learning sectors.
  • Evidence of successful high level project management.
  • A self starter who can create, deliver and finish projects to a brief
  • Adept at working as part of a team in a busy and sometimes unpredictable environment
  • Able to juggle complex multi strand work flows and work to deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to use initiative to tackle barriers and blocks
  • Competency in budget management with a good working knowledge of Excel
  • An excellent standard of written English with the ability to write engaging and accessible copy and detailed project reports and evaluations to stakeholders
  • A full driving licence and access to your own transport.

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic and practised Project Manager who has experience of public art commissioning and running art and design projects on both large and small scales.

Willis Newson is one of the UK’s leading arts and health consultancies. Established in 2001, we are based in Bristol and work across the UK. We are passionate about the power of art to improve health and wellbeing.
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager who will be responsible for sensitively and creatively curating and managing a range of large-scale public art programmes and individual commissions in healthcare environments. 
You will have a wide knowledge of artists and designers, and will be able to articulate and shape briefs appropriate to different contexts, from working with a sculptor to create a landmark installation for hospital gardens to developing a brief for illustrations to be used in a children’s ward.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will ensure that you are able to manage the needs and requirements of all stakeholders, to build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and to engage local communities with our work.
You will be an experienced project manager with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail who is able to manage complex scheduling of multiple projects, ensuring that all aspects of a project are delivered on time and in budget, while paying close attention to the quality and appropriateness of the work being delivered.
Sensitive, confident and articulate, you will use your excellent presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills to steer projects of the highest quality through to completion.

Office/Project Manager - Silver Stage Event Structures

We are looking for a full time Office / Project Manager for our
Temporary Structures Company, Silver Stage Event Structures
This is a highly demanding yet fulfilling role, the ideal candidate will be
an effective and confident communicator who thrives in a creative
environment. Have previous structure rental knowledge; experience in
the event industry and knowledge of technical documentation. You must
be self-motivated; be able to use own initiative with good Mac IT skills.
Duties will be split between enquiries, logistics, preparation of
H&S,  technical documentation as well as admin
support.
The successful candidate will get the satisfaction of seeing each project
through from enquiry to end, making sure that the job runs smoothly for
the Company and Client.
The role is mostly based in Coleford, which is 30 minutes from Bristol-
‘The Centre of the UK's Event Industry’. Occasional travel worldwide
ocasionally required.
You may be required to attend trade shows, meetings, festivals and site
visits.
Key points of job description:
• Assisting with producing and collating health & safety and technical
documentation for the structures.
• Processing, producing and reviewing rental quotes, contracts and
invoices. The applicant will preferably have previous structure
rental knowledge of temporary structures.
• Planning logistics for  events including planning of crew,
vehicles, travel and accommodation.
• Liaise with Clients and maintain customer
relationships.
• Online marketing activities, social media and website
management
• Prepping Website & Graphic Designers with clear, concise
instructions for updates/Sketch up 3D presentations.
• Attend meetings, trade shows, sales exhibitions and festivals
• Update and maintain client and supplier databases.
• Deal with phone calls, post and emails
Key Skills & Experience
• Outgoing and confident with excellent communication skills, both
verbal and written
• Able and flexible to shift between different job roles
• Highly organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise your own
workload -
• High level of Mac awareness
• Previous event industry experience and technical knowledge is highly
desirable.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel • Own transport is essential as location is rural.
Competitive rate of pay depending on experience.
