Project Assistant: Bristol Cultural Development Partnership

Pay: 19,000 per annum

Bristol Cultural Development Partnership (BCDP – Bristol City Council and Business West – with investment from Arts Council England) is seeking a Project Assistant for a critical role supporting BCDP’s day-to-day operational management and special projects, especially those relating to European Green Capital including Festival of Ideas events. This is a post suitable to a recent graduate planning a career in the environment and/ or arts projects. The role will require planning skills, the ability to work effectively within a small team to tight deadlines and a high degree of determination, pragmatism and professionalism.

Project Assistant - The Island, Bristol



Project Assistant 
15 hrs per week 
£8 per hr 
6 months fixed term contract
Based at The Island, Nelson Street 

We are looking for an experienced and talented individual to join our Island office as a Project Assistant. We are looking to recruit a professional with a strong background in office management and an interest and passion for arts to work closely with our Project Manager, as well as provide general administrative support to the Project.

The successful candidate will have a passion for arts assisting in the delivery of a wide range of activities, including professional performances, workshops and classes, as well as support for artists’ development. You will also work as part of the office team as the first point of contact for customers to ensure the smooth running of the office and the highest standard of service and customer care. You will need to be able to work under pressure, multi-task and work under your own initiative as well as following instructions and deliver within tight deadlines.

Experience in finance administration, web content management & front of house is desirable. The successful candidate should be also willing to work outside normal office hours and some unsociable hours (weekend, evenings).
