Communications Coordinator (freelance)

Hours: 21 hrs per week
Pay: £7.50 per hour
Location: Central Bristol (varying locations)
Responsible for: Coordinating marketing and sales communications on behalf of the gallery

Antlers requires a highly motivated, organised and enthusiastic Communications Coordinator. We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills both written and oral in order to raise the profile of the gallery through marketing, sales and sponsorship duties.
The Communications Coordinator will work as part of a small team, communicating the gallery’s programme and ambition through PR, press and client communications. The sales duties involve a combination of face-to-face sales in the gallery and art fair environment, but also more proactive sales using the client database and general sales and marketing initiatives. This role will also provide administrative support to the gallery’s sponsorship programme.
The successful applicant will have strong administrative skills and take a dedicated and diligent approach to all tasks as well as having a keen interest in the contemporary arts. Although this role is primarily focused on marketing and sales, the successful applicant must also be adaptive and responsive to other tasks that may occur as a result of working for a small organisation.
