3 Males Actors Required for Bristol Short Film - Inhouse Media

Pay: to be decided
Deadline: Sunday 10th January 2016
Contact: Sam - st14727@my.bristol.ac.uk
Inhouse Media is Bristol University's production company. We are making our first creative film, Blank Fire, following athletic teenager Adam and his struggle between his abusive foster father Jim, and his paternal figure, Coach, who offers Adam his only escape - running.
ADAM is an athletic 18 year old, living with his abusive foster father. He is quiet, but not submissive, and his anger and rage slowly builds throughout the film. He has a lot of respect for COACH, but very little for his foster father JIM.
Coach is Adam’s paternal figure, rather than his abusive dad. Coach is aware of his responsibilities and not to overstep them, but sees something special in Adam. For this reason he is even more concerned by the signs of abuse that Adam displays.
Jim is a hot headed policeman in his forties, who abuses his foster son on a regular basis. He is selfish and ignorant, and always believes that he is right. He has no positive feelings towards ADAM, which means he can escape at work and training; JIM only keeps ADAM around for the benefits he receives.

We are filming in Bristol on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of January. We are seeing if our budget stretches to payment for actors, but we can definitely cover food and expenses. We are also aiming to do the festival run, so exposure will be good on this project! To audition, please send us an email giving us a little info about yourself, and which characters you're interested in, and we'll send over the appropriate audition pieces so you can record a video audition and send it in!
