Call for Volunteers - The Bristol Shakespeare Festival

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
The Bristol Shakespeare Festival is a volunteer run organisation, playing host to some of the UK’s most impressive touring theatre companies every July. The Festival looks to use iconic, unusual and much loved spaces to bring Shakespeare to life in our magnificent city.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Bristol Shakespeare Festival would not be able to run without the passion and enthusiasm of its volunteers.
During the festival weeks (8th June – 29th July 2016) we have ten touring theatre companies descending upon Bristol. With over fifty performances, we are looking for a dedicated team of festival volunteers to help these events run smoothly.
Roles will include: ushering audience members, taking and checking tickets, collecting on-the-door payment, acting as a point of contact for audience members, helping to ensure smooth-running of performances, responding to queries and working with the volunteer manager to maintain a safe environment for all attendees.
All volunteers are able to watch performances for free.
A training session will be scheduled prior to festival start date. The festival manager will liaise with all volunteers to determine date availability.
CRB/DBS certificates, first aid training and previous experience in similar roles would be useful, but are not a requirement. We are looking for people who want to experience the festival as part of our team – so enthusiasm, a love for working with the general public and a passion for festival-theatre is all we need.
If you’d like to be involved, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Volunteer Manager to express your interest:
Fabi Melegari - volunteers@bristolshakespeare.org.uk

We look forward to hearing from you!
