BBC Norman Beaton Fellowship

Deadline: 10am, Friday 27th November 2015
Contact: Sophie Turner (

Have you got a voice for radio?
The BBC Norman Beaton Fellowship is an initiative to draw new actors into Radio Drama.

Aimed at professional actors who have NOT come through traditional accredited drama training, the award offers 2 actors each a 5-month contract with the BBC Radio Drama Company in London, working on the widest possible range of radio dramas, readings and poetry programmes.
Since 2009, BBC Radio has been working with Theatre Bristol to run the regional workshop and audition for Bristol and the South West. From an open call and around 40 applicants, we've managed to get a local actor through to the national finals each year. Fingers crossed for one of you reading this now to be next year's winner...

We are very keen to get some names from unexpected places, so even if this isn't for you, may be you know of or work with someone who you think might really benefit from this?
If so, please forward this opportunity and consider offering to be a referee in support of their application.
