Job Description – Art Specialist

Position: Art Specialist – Bristol – Weds and Thurs PM
Subjects: Art
Locations: Bristol
Rates Of Pay: £7.20 – 8.00 Per Hour
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for vibrant and passionate individuals to join the SuperStars Team for current positions across Bristol, with ongoing recruitment into the next academic year. We do not require you to be a Qualified Teacher – Just passionate about Art with relevant art specialist background!

The Role and its Responsibilities:
What we expect from you:
We are a highly passionate organisation, committed to developing the lives of the children that we are in contact with each day, supporting these young children through their School life to ensure development through the introduction and continuation of PE and Sport.
It would be your responsibility to facilitate learning and development by establishing a relationships with pupils through the organisation of learning resources and the classroom learning environment.
The role/responsibilities:
  • Arrival on time to your placements
  • Willingness to go the extra mile
  • Teaching Specific Subjects areas – Art – in line with your specialism taking responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-age pupils;
  • Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays where necessary to encourage a positive learning environment;
  • Preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class
  • Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation;
  • Maintaining discipline and behaviour management
  • Preparing work to facilitate positive pupil development
  • Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development;
  • Coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum
  • Working with superstars to coordinate delivery of lesson plans
  • liaising with colleagues and working flexibly
