Volunteers Needed for Dock Heritage Weekend at Mshed

Dear volunteers and prospective volunteers,

We are running our Docks Heritage Weekend again in a few weeks and are looking for volunteers to fill a variety of roles.

Docks Heritage Weekend

3^rd & 4^th October

M Shed

9.30 – 4.30

Dock Workers (Actors)

For this role we are looking for 6 males who are willing to act as dock workers for the weekend. Volunteers will be expected to dress in dock workers outfits (supplied by us) and play the part, interacting with the public and moving fake loads around the harbour. There will be a training role on the Wednesday before (30^th Sept)

Family Activities and general help with the day

We also need a couple of people to work on the family activity. You will need to be happy to work with kids on designing and assembling a series of mosaic tiles on the themes of the River Avon and Bristol Harbour. We will need two or three volunteers to work on the quayside handing out leaflets and programmes and give people information about the weekend and all the activities as well.
