Giffords Circus seeks and brass and wind player

GIFFORDS CIRCUS SEEKS BRASS AND WIND PLAYER

Gifford's Circus are seeking musicians for the 2014 season.
We are a travelling circus, performing around the greens and parks of the Cotswolds and west of England to 100,000 people a year.
The show, directed by Cal McCrystal, combines circus and theatre with a strong musical element.
We will be playing and devising an original score.

We are looking for a brass player. You would need the ability to improvise, read and be willing to have a musical input into the development of the score during rehearsals. Any singing ability would be welcome.
You will be an integral part of the whole show; an energetic and enthusiastic approach to performance is a must.

The auditions will be in London on 9th February. Please bring 2-3 contrasting pieces, and be prepared to improvise or sight-read at the auditions.

The season will be from mid april til late september, including 4 weeks rehearsals at full pay. You will be performing in an international troupe of jugglers, acrobats, horses, clowns and geese in a tent you have helped put up yourself. Accommodation provided in the form of a vintage circus wagon! This is hard work, but incredibly rewarding.
