Marketing Officer - Tobacco Factory Theatres

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join Tobacco Factory Theatres at this incredibly exciting time, as Marketing Officer in a busy department.
This is an integral role, working directly alongside the Head of Marketing, with the primary responsibility to work alongside visiting companies to plan, execute and evaluate successful marketing campaigns for this major area of our programme.
The department is responsible for marketing all received shows and in-house productions at Tobacco Factory Theatres, off-site in venues around Bristol and marketing national tours. A key goal is to maintain our 86% annual average capacity. The department is also responsible for maintaining the public facing brand and profile of the organisation with customers, industries and organisations and the media.

Duty Front of House Manager: Tobacco Factory Theatres

The Tobacco Factory Theatre requires a reliable, flexible and friendly individual to join our Front of House team. The role will include evening and weekend shifts running the Front of House team during shows at Tobacco Factory Theatres. The chosen person must have good customer service experience at a managerial level, an interest in theatre and strong leadership skills. Experience of working in a theatre environment and an up to date first aid qualification is an advantage. Bar experience necessary.

Catwalk models wanted for the launch of new fashion collective WHERE'S YOUR MARY? at the Tobacco Factory Theatre on 30th August. You will be required to model on the catwalk/presentation style format. 

WHERE'S YOUR MARY? aims to show that there is incredible talent in the southwest and want to promote everyone involved. It will be a great networking opportunity with make-up artists, photographers and designers. 

Ideally we are looking for girls with a minimum height of 5"8" a confident walk is absolutely essential and you must have a professional attitude. 

Please note this opportunity is unpaid in monetary terms, however we have a team of professional make-up artists, photographers, stylists and press attending. In addition to great exposure, professional photographs for your look book and the possibility of making great contacts within the industry there is also the potential for future paid work with the collective.

Box Office Assistant - Tobacco Factory Theatres


Box Office Assistant
Part Time: 20 hours per week
Pay: £7.25ph

Tobacco Factory Theatres produces and presents live performance in two unique theatre spaces – the Factory Theatre (220-350 seats) and the Brewery Theatre (90 seats). In 2013 Tobacco Factory Theatres attracted an annual ticketed audience of over 110,000 to over 645 performances, talks, workshops, school visits, and community classes.
In September we will require a new member of staff for our small, dedicated Box Office team. Our Box Office is staffed between 9.30am – 6.30pm Monday to Saturday. It is also open after these hours for ticket collection when there is a performance on in either of our theatre spaces, and acts as a ticket agent for many venues across the city.
We are looking for someone who is calm and organised under pressure, is highly computer literate, has strong customer service skills and has had good previous Box Office experience ideally on Spektrix software. The position is for approx. 20 hours per week on an initial 9 month contract with the intention of further work being available at the end of the contract. The position will include working in the evenings, at weekends and on certain Bank Holidays.
All Box Office staff are supervised by the Operations Manager.

Theatre Technicians Needed x2 at Tobacco Factory

Tobacco Factory Theatres is looking for two Theatre Technicians to assist the Technical Manager with our busy and diverse programme. The positions will involve working with touring companies as well as assisting with in house productions, development and educational work. The chosen candidates must have good experience of fit ups, get outs, show operation and technical maintenance. A good working knowledge of theatre electrics and sound systems is also required. These two positions are initially for a 9 month fixed term contract with the possibility of moving to a permanent contract in April 2015. The positions are for between 20 and 40 hours a week dependent on candidates and will involve working between Tobacco Factory Theatres’s two theatre spaces.

Hours per week: 20-40
Fixed term: 9 month contract with a view to go permanent at the end of the period
Salary: £16,500-£18,500 (pro rata) depending on experience
