Wanted: Art Teacher - Bristol University Fine Art Society

Matisse - Le Bonheur de Vivre

Pay: £100 per week Deadline for applications: 26/02/2016.
Interviews: 29/02/2016 – 04/03/2016.

Bristol University Fine Art Society is looking for an art teacher to deliver weekly art classes at the Student Union, open to members of the Society. Each session would last for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, and would take place twice a week, e.g. Tuesday and Thursday evenings. (The same class would be repeated – not two different lessons a week).

We feel that it’s a shame that our access to creative arts reduces so much when we arrive at university. We would still like to be able to learn new techniques and be introduced to artists and artistic styles that we haven’t come across before. Our members have varied levels of experience, some having completed GCSE art and some A Level.

The board members would work with you to plan weekly themes, and two or three different activities for each session. Our aim is for people to leave each session having tried something new.
If you are interested, could you please send an email to em12875@my.bristol.ac.uk , describing a bit about yourself and your background within the arts and education; your relevant experience, and your availability during weekday evenings.

We look forward to hearing from you!

The course will begin in March 2016, and is projected to run for 8 sessions, hopefully continuing next year. Payment will be £100 a week, for preparing & delivering the sessions.
 THANK YOU!
