Oriel Davies is seeking submissions from artists exploring the practice and potential of painting today. We are encouraging a diverse interpretation of what painting is and might be. There is no geographical restriction and entry is open both to professional artists and to students (17+) currently training in visual art.
1st Prize £1000 + solo exhibition
Student Prize £500
The overall 1st prize winner will be offered a solo exhibition at Oriel Davies as well as receiving their cash prize.
People’s Choice Prize £250
Awarded to the most popular works, or collection of works, in Oriel Davies Open 2016 as voted by the viewing public during the exhibition period.
