Arts Administrator - Paid Internship, Cirque Bijou


Pay: National minimum wage plus supported study in finance
Full Time: 40 hours per week (including study)
Based: Bristol office

Cirque Bijou are offering a paid internship for an emerging arts administrator.  As part of a small, busy and exciting team you will gain insight into how an arts and events company is run.  This is an excellent opportunity that includes supported study to provide a grounding in basic finance which will be invaluable in progressing your career as an arts administrator.
We will support you to complete AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Level 2 or 3 course at a local college of higher education, studying on day-release for tuition days only. Seewww.aat.org.uk for further information.

Duties Include:
  • Answering the phone and emails
  • Day to day finance including invoicing and data input
  • Organising travel/accommodation arrangements for events
  • Contracting
  • General administration
  • Helping organise events
  • General office housekeeping duties
Person Specification:
ESSENTIAL
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self motivated, highly organised, flexible
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage own workload and prioritise when necessary
  • High level of numeracy
  • Working knowledge of word & excel
  • Ambition to succeed in the arts
DESIRABLE
  • Knowledge of SAGE accounting software
  • Knowledge of apple mac computers
  • Experience of working in an arts environment
  • Maths A-level
