Volunteers will be expected to commit up to 10 hours to each show 
Sofar Sounds currently co-ordinates 1 gig a month. 
Access to necessary equipment and own vehicle desirable.

Why volunteer? 
We are a non-profit organisation and our goal is to create a platform for growing artists to facilitate the current Bristol Music Industry. Whether you are interested in live events, A&R, audio/video, design, artist relations, Sofar enables volunteers to gain hands on invaluable experience in all aspects of live music. We can offer you free admission to Sofar gigs, bulk up your portfolio, expand your contacts in the music industry and provide valuable references on outstanding performance. 
 

Who we are? 
Sofar Sounds is the curator of secret, intimate gigs in living rooms and unique venues around the world. We spotlight emerging artists by introducing them to connectors and new audiences through a unique and magical concert experience that is then shared and streamed to music-lovers around the world. . 

Why we do it? 
In 2009 Rafe, Rocky, and David Alexander went to a music venue and watched a band play to a group of unappreciative audience members. Frustrated by the clanging of glasses, loud conversations, and sheer disrespect of the artist’s craft, the 3 founders decided to support musicians in their own creative ways. They took one living room, a band, and eight friends thus making the way for the very first Sofar Sounds! We look for others who share this same frustration to bring respect back to the music! 

How we do it? 
Along with 100+ cities worldwide, Sofar Sounds Bristol is ran by volunteers passionate about music. The Bristol team is composed of like minded individuals, which bring varied skills and talents together to make sure every event is unique and focused on the artists performing. A lot of work, love and attention goes into the organisation of each individual show- from discovering artists, sourcing and transporting technical equipment to venue preparations, filming and post production editing, no detail is too small or overlooked. We are a small but very passionate team that is now looking to expand following a great local interest and growing fan base.

Email via here telling us a little bit about yourself including 3 artists that are currently on your favourite’s playlist, your availability, why you want to volunteer with us and what are you looking to get from your experience at Sofar Sounds Bristol. We would love to see some examples of your work so please attach samples or a link to your online portfolio.
