The Big Local Art Auction are looking for 2 or 3interns to help with the auction which will be held at Paintworks during the week of 19th to 24th July. The event is being organised by Louise Copping, a local Fine Art Consultant, who is extremely knowledgeable about the local art scene. Unfortunately they cannot pay anything, but the intern will gain experience in learning everything about the process of setting up an exhibition, from how to hang the works to curating, pricing, making contacts etc. There is also an opportunity to enter a piece in the Secret Postcard section of the exhibition.
Interns are expected to a commitment of 2/3 days a week until July. If anyone is interested they should send a brief CV and a covering letter to Emma London at absconder@blueyonder.co.uk.
Informal interviews will be held in the next week or so.
