JOB SUMMARY:  The Development Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of an overall fund-raising programme consistent with the Orchestra’s needs and goals. To that end, Development Manager will recommend fund-raising policies and procedures to the General Manager, Music Director and Board, working with them towards the goal of building a year-round development programme. The position is part time, 1.5 days (12 hours) a week.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience raising significant income for arts charities via trusts, foundations and other major funders
• Experience in corporate related fundraising and donor based fundraising
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• A working knowledge of classical music, particularly the orchestral repertoire
