We’re looking for FOUR young journalists to come and join our team at Rife Magazine. We offer 6-month paid internships where you create all the content - that’s blogs, articles, videos, photos - for Rife. In return, you get mentored by an experienced team of creatives.
As part of the programme you will receive on the job training in digital media, co-create Rife Magazine’s headline content and shape the Watershed Bristol Youth Links project. The programme will be a springboard giving you the confidence, networks and skills to develop your personal and professional future. No qualifications necessary: just good ideas, enthusiasm and a desire to develop your skills.
Only two of the posts are aimed specifically at people aged 18 - 24 who are currently unemployed and are claiming Job Seekers Allowance. They have been created as part of the Creative Employment Programme - an Arts Council England fund to support the creation of traineeships, formal apprenticeship and paid internship opportunities in England for unemployed young people wishing to pursue a career in the arts and cultural sector.
There are certain criteria you must meet in order to be eligible to apply for a Creative Employment Programme funded internship. At the time of applying you must be aged 18 to 24 and you must be registered as unemployed with Jobcentre Plus.
