Stage Manager/Runner to assist with an R&D project Mayfest

Greg Mclaren and company is looking to recruit a stage manager / runner to assist us with an R&D project happening as part of Mayfest in Bristol on the 17 and 18 May.

We are looking for someone who is practical, flexible, resourceful and proactive and who enjoys a challenge.  Part of the role will be to: buy and source materials, to oversee the creation of part of the set, to manage any day to day requirements from rehearsals, to support a public interaction in Bristol city centre on the 10th and 11th May.  

Experience or an interest in live art and contemporary performance is desirable.  Would suit someone who is at the beginning of their career in the arts / performance sector looking for further experience in stage management or performance management.  

Key dates must be available from Mon 5 May - Sun 18 May.  Preferably also available on Sat 10 or Sun 11 May to assist with a public intervention in Bristol.  Performances on 17 and 18 May.  This is a freelance position of a set fee of £500.  Please contact Jo Hammett jojohammett@gmail.comASAP for further information and with a CV and 300 words expressing your interest and previous experience.
