Art/Music Workshop Leaders in Bosnia

Firefly International are seeking creative & energetic self-starters aged 18-30 for a twelve month fully funded placement, working with community youth arts organisation, Svitac, in Brcko, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Placement is from early June 2014 to June 2015.
We are seeking one volunteer to lead visual arts/crafts workshops and one volunteer to lead music workshops.
Volunteers will design and deliver workshops to young people (aged 7-25), support ongoing creative and educational activities and help deliver a range of community events including summer activity camps and a short film festival.
We would especially welcome applications for the musical post from those with experience playing brass instruments and/or samba drumming.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those wishing to gain experience in planning and delivering community arts and/or music projects.
 Ideal candidates have:
  • a background in arts/music
  • experience working with young people
  • experience running workshops and events
These placements are fully funded which means the following is covered: 
  • travel from your location in the UK to Brčko, Bosnia and back
  • accommodation
  • health insurance
  • a modest living allowance of about 150 euros per month for food and other expenses.
