Student Video Editor - Adventure Film Project

Details
Location: The Adventurists HQ, 14 Whitehouse Street, BS3 4AY
Duties: Logging and editing footage of this year's Mongol Rally, overland adventure rally from UK to the capital of Mongolia. We have collected footage from teams that have taken on one of the world's most outrageous and infamous adventure rallies, and we need your help to turn it into an online adventure film.
You will be logging, organising and converting footage, editing the footage into short viral videos under direction, and be part of the edit team for the main film - The 10th Mongol Rally.
Skills / Experience: Must be proficient in video editing using Final Cut Pro. Basic technical skills of editing essential plus titles, audio management and colour correction are preferable. You don't need experience editing whole films or similar projects but we will need to see examples of editing you have carried out on your own footage, short clips of yourself or projects you've worked on previously.
Check out The Adventurists online and see what we do - ideally you'll like our approach and have an interest in storytelling and using video as both a marketing tool and documentary medium online.
Holiday/ Benefits: Holiday variable depending on status and hours you're able to work.
Any other details: We'll be holding a screening of the final videos and films that you'll be invited to attend and you'll be fully credited for your role on the production team for this project.
Salary: 7.50 per hour
Hours: 7-35 depending on availability, your course and experience
Job Duration: Initial project due to last 6 weeks with possibility of extension onto other projects
Applying:
Please email Dan to let us know you're interested, who you are and include a description of your video editing experience/skills, plus at least one example of a video you've edited (send via WeTransfer or include link - very short videos are fine if they demonstrate your level of ability) and a copy of your CV.
Your existing CV us fine, we're not a massive fan of them but need it on record, we're more interested in who you are and what you've done or can do on the video editing front. And whether you like our style of adventuring...
Send application emails to jobs@theadventurists.com - we will start interviews as soon as we start receiving applications so don't hang about - get in touch if you fancy it.
